Antique African Trade “Wedding” Beads

Description

Excellent collection of antique molded glass teardrop African Trade “Wedding” Beads.  Beads were made in Bohemia from the 1800-1900s for trade in Africa.  They are given to brides on their wedding days and worn in Mali and throughout west Africa.
This strand includes 54 beads, and is approximately 19 inches long. Total weight 300 grams.
Antique condition; most beads show wear (see photos).
