    Description

This is an original souvenir scrapbook published as a tie in with the release of the Walt Disney produced animated classic of 1937, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. There is no date given that I can see, but it seems most likely that it came out as a publication for children around the time of the film's release. The scrapbook is soft bound in colorful illustrated card stock covers, and measures approximately 10 3/4" by 15 1/4" overall. The interior pages are blank throughout, although the original owner had laid in hundreds of clippings and tear outs from vintage movie magazines of the day, placed throughout the pages of the book without pasting any of them in, and these are included with the listing for sale.
The scrapbook is in fair to good condition overall, with obvious edge wear and chipping to the extremities, some curling and nicking along the top edge of the front cover most apparent, and several of the top right hand corners of the interior scrapbook pages are likewise curled and wrinkled correspondingly. The original reinforced backstrip binding tape is showing some signs of wear and chipping/cracking as well, mostly with the evident loss of a small portion near the top left hand corner of the front cover, where you can see in the scans that a small section is missing and that the upper left corner and the spine there is slightly skewed or curled with age and storage pressure. The interior pages are largely very clean throughout, with a tiny bit of soiling/spotting to small areas of a couple of pages, and the typical browning and age discoloration apparent to extremities and some also to cover which is lightly soiled to same. The rear cover matching graphic is in overall better shape with more consistent color to the graphics and has maintained its integrity somewhat better than the front over the years of storage in an artist's morgue file.
